Our philosophy

Schrag Laboratory team

We believe that our research and our clinical work are intimately linked. Our goal is to cure cerebral amyloid angiopathy and that will not happen without the support of our patients.

We also believe in open sharing of science. A website like this allows us to communicate our science directly to our patients and collaborators and get feedback faster. We can also publish in much greater detail here than can be done in a scientific journal. We know that this makes us better scientists and we hope that it will help our colleagues.

We are very grateful for the support of Vanderbilt University Department of Neurology and the Vanderbilt Faculty Research Scholars Program who fund our work.
